Millionaire Extends Help to Viral Boy Doing Homework Under Street Lamp

Whether it is to travel the world, to be a millionaire or to become the CEO of a world-renowned firm, every child has a dream. And building this dream starts with education. However, for some kids, their dreams and aspirations seem distant and far-fetched. They are not as fortunate as others who have easy access to education. Poverty may be a harsh reality, but one boy in Peru didn’t let it hamper his journey to his dreams.

Victor Martin Angulo Cordoba went viral on social media when he was captured doing his homework in the street under a Peruvian lamp. He didn’t have electricity at home so he opted to work on the side of the road to tackle his school tasks. The photo caught the attention of many people, including the city Mayor Arturo Fernandez Bazan.

Mayor Bazan learned that Victor’s home didn’t have electricity, not only because they couldn’t afford to pay, but because his mother couldn’t show the necessary documents to prove that they own the home which needed the electricity to be installed. Without hesitation, the city mayor assisted the family throughout the process so they could finally have electricity. Not only that, he also sent Victor some school supplies to support his desire to pursue his education.

While these are all a huge help to Victor’s family, the happy story doesn’t end here. In fact, a bigger help was coming in the person of Yaqoob Yusuf Ahmed Mubarak. Yaqoob is a millionaire philanthropist from Bahrain. Moved by Victor’s determination, he flew all the way to Peru to help the young boy because he reminded him of his humble beginnings.

Upon his arrival, Yaqoob checked Victor’s condition. Then, he decided to rebuild their house, made it two-stories high, and even updated the school’s infrastructure. Besides helping Victor, he also pledged cash to help the boy’s studies.

According to Diarrio Correo, Victor expressed his sincere gratitude for all the help he received. “Thank you for the help you are offering, thank you very much because you are helping us to build our school.”

“I thank the people who want to do this to me (build my house) I thank them very much that they have had that kindness and they have given time to come to my humble home, because anyone does not do it.” he also added.

Thanks to the generosity of Yaqoob, a young boy’s life has changed; a young boy who has now found more reasons to push further and never stop dreaming. And this story is not just one of kindness and generosity. It’s also about determination and hope. It’s about a child who relentlessly chases his dreams despite life’s hardships and challenges. It’s a story we all can draw inspiration from.
